Laidler to face AFL panel scrutiny
Carlton defender Jeremy Laidler has become the latest AFL finals player who will anxiously await Monday's match review panel findings.
Laidler clashed heavily with Essendon ruckman David Hille in the first term of Sunday's big elimination final win at the MCG.
Hawks midfielder Jordan Lewis is already on report for rough conduct, following his bump on Cats opponent Joel Selwood during their Friday night qualifying final.
Collingwood onballer Sharrod Wellingham will face scrutiny for two incidents during the third term of Saturday's qualifying final win over West Coast.
He took Beau Waters high with a bump and then threw his elbow back at Mark LeCras, although Wellingham also appeared to check the blow.
Waters and LeCras did not appear to be unduly affected by the incidents.
Sydney ruckman Shane Mumford, one of the Swans' most important players, collected St Kilda's Ben McEvoy high during Saturday night's elimination final win.
McEvoy was momentarily rattled by the contact, but played out the game, and the match review panel will definitely look at the incident.
The other problem for Mumford is he has carryover points hanging over his head after a suspension earlier this season.
