Stibbard to return to work for GWS
Greater Western Sydney (GWS) head recruiter Neville Stibbard has returned to work at his AFL club after they completed an extensive internal review into claims he acted aggressively to a rival club staff member.
Stibbard was stood down on full pay on August 22 when the fledgling AFL franchise vowed to investigate complaints lodged by North Melbourne.
GWS released a statement on Friday confirming the matter was resolved.
"The Giants investigated a complaint that the employee acted in an unprofessional and aggressive manner to an employee of another club," the statement said.
"The Giants are satisfied with the outcome of the review and the employee will return to work for the Giants from today, September 2."
However the club has re-jigged its football department with Stephen Silvagni promoted to the title of national recruitment and list manager.
"The Giants have instituted appropriate steps including the promotion of Stephen Silvagni to national recruitment and list manager and created specific processes aimed at prevention of any further workplace issues and will monitor those accordingly.
"As previously stated, one of the key priorities for the GWS Giants is to set a strong culture and values system and we take any suggestion of unprofessional behaviour seriously."
The Giants, who will join the league in 2012, have nine first-round picks in November's national draft as well as being able to add a raft of out-of-contract players from rival clubs.
