Peters stood down by Sea Eagles
Manly media manager Peter Peters has been stood down by the NRL club over a sexist comment made to a female journalist.
Peters made the comment in response to a question from Sky News reporter Megan Barnard to Sea Eagles lock Glenn Stewart after Wednesday night's judiciary hearing.
"You're a good sort," Peters said twice to Barnard.
Peters told The Daily Telegraph website on Thursday: "I've been informed by our chief executive David Perry this afternoon that I've been stood down."
Earlier the radio presenter had apologised to Barnard.
"I'm not a sexist person and I work alongside a lot of women in my job at Manly," he said.
"I'm a grandfather for God's sake."
