Thompson hit with grade one NRL charge
Canberra centre Joel Thompson has been hit with a grade one dangerous contact charge by the NRL Match Review Committee.
Thompson was sanctioned following a huge hit on Melbourne's Rory Kostjasyn midway through the second half of the Storm's 26-0 win over the Raiders on Sunday at Canberra Stadium.
Thompson will not miss a game if he takes an early guilty plea.
Canterbury's Jamal Idris and Brisbane's Josh McGuire were cleared of any wrongdoing after being put on report for striking during their respective games on Friday.
