Scott, Ennis bury the hatchet for Blues
NSW team-mates Beau Scott and Michael Ennis have buried the hatchet after a feud that simmered throughout Friday night's NRL match between St George Illawarra and Canterbury.
Dragons hardman Scott and renowned Bulldogs niggler Ennis clashed several times in the premiers' tense 15-10 victory, but both say they've left their differences on the ANZ Stadium paddock.
"It's all part of the game, it's all good," Scott said.
"It's all normal, these things happen on the field and they stay on the field."
Ennis agreed the relationship between the pair hadn't suffered after their flare-ups in one of the games of the year.
"Beauy's a tough kid and the Dogs and Dragons, they're always great clashes, and that was just part of Friday night's story, I suppose," Ennis said.
The ultra-competitiveness of the pair is almost certainly the reason they are in Ricky Stuart's side.
The coach has pointed to the toughness of a pack containing Scott, Ennis and the so-called "bruise brothers", captain Paul Gallen and Gold Coast's Greg Bird.
"There's an expectation on all of us," Ennis said.
"We all want to bring the trophy back, we would love to do that.
"There's a real expectation on ourselves without any external pressure."
Gallen confirmed he would be right to train with the side by Wednesday after suffering knocks to his shin and arm in Sunday's win over the Sydney Roosters.
Benchman Dean Young is scheduled to run just twice with the Blues because of the ongoing management needed of his chronic knee problem.
"My Dragons physio (Andrew Gray) is the NSW physio so that helps for a start and I'm down for running on Friday and Tuesday so they're on top of it," Young said.
"Sticky (Stuart) knew what he was getting when he was picking me and what I could and couldn't do.
"The physio is here so that's pretty crucial for me and it will be no different to how I prepare for a normal game."
Manly co-captain Jason King, sitting out Monday night's game against the Titans with a rib injury, declared himself a certain starter.
"I could have possibly played (on Monday night) but we had the bye next week so the medical staff are being very smart with the injury, giving it more time to heal," he said.
"I've still got another 10 days before we play the Origin game so it won't be a problem at all."
