Lockyer given all clear for Bulldogs clash
Brisbane captain Darren Lockyer has been cleared to play against Canterbury-Bankstown in Friday night's NRL blockbuster at Suncorp Stadium.
Lockyer, who had missed two previous training sessions with back spasms, completed Thursday morning's training and coach Anthony Griffin declared his star playmaker ready to go.
Lockyer wrapped up the 60-minute session with a tackling drill with team-mates, dispelling any fears he was carry an injury into the game.
Brisbane will be chasing their seventh win in a row but Griffin has warned the Bulldogs present a serious threat to their streak with so many danger men in their line-up.
Bulldogs hooker Michael Ennis will play against his former club and is expected to try and get under the skin of his old teammates.
Ennis and Brisbane lock Corey Parker almost came to blows when the clubs clashed last year.
Parker, who this week signed a new three-year deal with the Broncos, said he was looking forward to renewing hostilities with Ennis.
"We're pretty good mates, but I wouldn't be surprised if there are some sparks flying on Friday night," said Parker.
