Michael Ennis signs with Bulldogs
In-form Brisbane hooker Michael Ennis will join the Bulldogs next season after agreeing to a three-year deal with the NRL club.
Ennis will wear the blue and white until the end of the 2011 season, continuing an impressive recruitment drive by the Dogs which has already netted Broncos prop Ben Hannant, Cronulla halfback Brett Kimmorley and St George centre Josh Morris.
The 24-year-old, who was also being chased by the Dragons, has been in great form this season culminating in a man of the match display in Friday night's win over Parramatta.
"Our coaching staff consider Michael to be one of the best young hookers in the game," Bulldogs chief executive Todd Greenberg said.
"He has great speed out of dummy half, can play 80 minutes and is a handy goal kicker.
"We've picked up some quality recruits in key positions and we expect their experience and leadership will help take our existing squad to another level."
The Bulldogs will be Ennis's fourth club in seven seasons after debuting with Newcastle in 2003.
He also spent one season with the Dragons in 2005 before linking up with the Broncos in 2006.
