Lewsey comes out of retirement
Former England rugby union fullback Josh Lewsey has come out of retirement to rejoin London Wasps on a short-term contract.
The 2003 World Cup-winning utility back, who played 55 times for England, ended his trophy-laden career in the summer of 2009 but returns to the club he represented for 10 years to provide injury cover for the back three.
Wasps director of rugby Leon Holden says "Josh has been playing some charity games lately and he's kept himself in remarkably good shape in the two years since he retired."
Lewsey, who can also play as a winger or a centre, was part of a star-studded Wasps side that dominated English rugby along with Leicester Tigers over the past decade.
He won four English titles and two European Cups with the west London club.
