No surgery needed for Alexander
The Brumbies have been given a boost with the news prop Ben Alexander will not require surgery on his fractured hand.
The Wallaby was informed of the news in Canberra on Thursday morning and will now be sidelined for just six weeks.
It means the 25-year-old should be available for the Brumbies' Super 14 match against the Bulls in Pretoria on February 21.
Alexander injured his hand during an accident at training last Thursday.
John Ulugia has been called into the squad on a short-term contract to cover for the injured Alexander.
