England adds five players to squad v NZ
England have called up five players to their squad as injury cover ahead of Saturday's rugby international against New Zealand at Twickenham.
Northampton No.8 Phil Dowson was summoned after Lewis Moody, who is expected to be named captain for the match, sustained a cut to the head early in Bath's 6-6 draw against Harlequins on Sunday.
Moody required 10 stitches to the wound but played the full game and should be selected by manager Martin Johnson when England's team is named Tuesday.
Elsewhere in the back row, Tom Wood has been brought in after Wasps flanker Joe Worsley sustained a cut to the face on club duty at the weekend.
Dan Ward-Smith, Anthony Allen and James Simpson-Daniel were also called up as cover for Simon Shaw, Dominic Waldouck and Matt Banahan respectively.
