Fevola seen playing pokies
Troubled former AFL star Brendan Fevola has been caught out gambling in public again.
Fevola, who is battling a gaming addiction, was playing the pokies at the Berwick Inn in Melbourne's south-east at 10am (AEDT) on Thursday.
He was apparently wearing a hooded top, but the venue has a "no hoodie" policy and staff asked him to remove the head cover.
Once people started recognising him, a venue spokesman said Fevola left without incident.
It is the latest unwelcome publicity for the two-time Coleman medallist, who is trying to resurrect his career in the VFL.
"He was asked to remove the hoodie and he was soon recognised - he then left quietly," said David Curry from the Australian Leisure and Hospitality Group, which owns the venue.
"He was only there for a few minutes."
This week, Fevola split with his management company Velocity Sports.
Velocity say they sacked the key forward, but Fevola countered that he had dumped them.
Earlier this month, Crown Casino management asked Fevola to leave the venue, again without incident.
He had been playing poker.
Fevola is a self-confessed gambling addict who spent more than two months in a Brisbane rehabilitation clinic.
He has apparently asked bookies to refuse him financial credit.
Fevola is back from a short holiday in the United States and also admitted this month that he tried to kill himself last year after an argument with his wife.
