Bulldogs' Roberts cleared of high tackle
Canterbury playmaker Ben Roberts has been cleared by the NRL judiciary of a careless high tackle charge arising from his side's win over South Sydney.
Roberts was charged with a grade one offence by the match review committee following the 32-12 win at ANZ Stadium last Friday and could have escaped suspension with an early guilty plea.
But the club opted to have the charge wiped and were successful at NRL headquarters on Wednesday night.
Roberts will play as planned in Canterbury's clash with Newcastle at EnergyAustralia Stadium on Sunday.
