Hoeata banned for two Super 14 games
Chiefs' loose forward Jarrad Hoeata has been suspended for two weeks for striking a player in the Super 14 rugby match against the Bulls in Hamilton last Friday.
Hoeata was cited for punching Bulls' lock Flip van der Merwe in the 70th minute of the match which the Bulls won 33-19.
Judicial officer Peter Hobbs took into account Hoeata's early admission of guilt and an earlier on-field incident which played a part in the incident, before dishing out the ban.
Hoeata, who has come off the reserve bench in five matches this season, will miss the Chiefs' next two games, at home to the Stormers and the Cheetahs.
