Wests Tigers snap up Penrith's Daniela
Wests Tigers have moved swiftly to replace Cronulla-bound Dean Collis with the signing of Penrith's New Zealand-born centre Geoff Daniela for the next two NRL seasons.
Daniela, 22, has agreed a two-year deal with the Tigers from the start of the 2010 season.
"Geoff is a very quick player who is stuck behind Michael Jennings and is looking for an opportunity," Tigers coach Tim Sheens said.
"He has played some first grade and fits our type of player.
"He is very good in attack and will fit into our game very well."
In a first for rugby league, the Tigers announced the signing on the club's Twitter page.
The signing of Daniela, who has scored 13 tries in 25 games for the Panthers, follows the acquisition of former Brisbane and Bradford winger Tame Tupou last week.
