Damir Dokic severs ties with Jelena
The volatile father of tennis star Jelena Dokic has reportedly severed all ties with her.
"I never want to see (Jelena) again," Damir Dokic told today's Sydney Morning Herald from Belgrade.
"She left us. We don't need her."
The paper said Damir blames the feud on his 20-year-old daughter's relationship with Brazilian racing car driver, Enrique Bernoldi, describing him as "that idiot".
Damir also described his decision to relocate his family from Australia to Serbia and Montenegro in 2001 as his "biggest mistake".
"We brought her back here and did everything for her until she was 19. Then she chose that idiot," he said, using his son Savo as an interpreter.
"Everybody says he's a Formula One driver, but he is a no-one - nothing. (Jelena) supports him.
"My family put all the money from their house into her tennis, but it wasn't enough."
Jelena, the world's 11th-ranked player, has dumped Damir as her coach and linked up with renowned Swiss mentor Heinz Gunthardt.
