Jackson leads Capitals to win
Lauren Jackson answered the challenge of her young heir apparents to carry the Canberra Capitals to a 76-64 victory over the AIS in the WNBL clash at AIS Training Hall.
Jackson narrowly shaded the AIS's Holly Grima in their last clash, but it was no contest in the return with Jackson finishing on a stunning 33 points while holding Grima to just four.
The Capitals would have been hard pressed to beat the plucky AIS without Jackson, who scored 15 straight Canberra points in the third quarter.
Eleanor Sharp was a potent second scoring option for the Capitals, finishing with 19 points, while Katie Davis and Lauren King scored 14 apiece for the AIS.
