Swim coach accused of stalking
A young woman has accused prominent Australian swimming coach Greg Hodge of stalking her in the latest scandal to rock the sport.
Emma Fuller, 20, told the Nine Network's A Current Affair program Hodge had an "obsession" for her and had been following her home from work.
Hodge, in his mid-fifties, is in charge of Australia's swimming program in the lead-up to next year's Athens Olympics.
He denied the claims in tonight's program.
"This is totally news to me," said Hodge, the high performance director of Australian Swimming.
Police on Monday served him with an interim apprehended violence order following a formal complaint from Fuller.
Hodge is expected to be summonsed to appear in court later this month.
Fuller said she gave up her dream of being an Olympian in the mid-1990s because of unwanted attention from Hodge, who she claims is again trying to become part of her life - seven years after being told by her parents never to contact her again.
"I'm bitter towards him in every way for what he's done," Fuller said.
"I don't want him in my life."
