AFL suspends Fevola, Leppitsch
Carlton's Brendan Fevola and Brisbane's Justin Leppitsch will both serve AFL suspensions after submitting guilty pleas to weekend offences.
Fevola will miss Friday night's match against in-form Hawthorn at Telstra Dome after accepting a one-match ban for his high bump on Sydney's Brett Kirk on Saturday.
The star full-forward's absence will be a huge blow to the Blues, as he was in great form and the AFL's equal leading goal-kicker after three rounds with 14 majors.
Leppitsch will miss Saturday night's Gabba clash with Richmond and a meeting with West Coast at Subiaco a week later.
He accepted a two-match suspension for striking St Kilda's Brendon Goddard last Thursday night.
St Kilda ruckman Cain Ackland submitted an early guilty plea to striking Brisbane's Jamie Charman.
And Kangaroos defender Michael Firrito, who was charged with striking Collingwood's Chris Tarrant in Monday's Telstra Dome match, also submitted an early plea.
But neither was suspended, with the low-level classification of their offences meaning they instead received reprimands.
The decision of all four reported players to submit early pleas meant there will be no tribunal hearing on Tuesday night.
