No more singing the Blues for Fevola
Carlton forward Brendan Fevola is over his costly miss at goal which cost the Blues an AFL win over Hawthorn at the weekend.
Fevola has gone from "near tears" to fairly upbeat, according to Blues coach Brett Ratten on Wednesday.
Fevola had a chance to win last Saturday's game in the final minute with his side five points down, but hit the post and was an obviously devastated man after the four-point loss.
But Ratten said any pain Fevola felt was soothed at the team's post-match review, in which first-half misses were identified as far more costly than the spearhead's offline shot with the match on the line.
"He's fairly upbeat. We talked about the game itself and he was fairly disappointed, but in the first half we had 31 inside 50s and to go in behind at halftime ... that hurt us," Ratten said.
Carlton's next match is against Fremantle at the Gold Coast on Saturday.
The Blues have won three of their six matches, while the Dockers have found form with two successive wins.
