Teasdale puts Brownlow up for sale
Former Brownlow Medal winner Noel Teasdale wants to put one of the most cherished awards in the AFL up for sale for cash.
Former North Melbourne ruckman Teasdale, who missed out on the 1965 Brownlow to St Kilda's Ian Stewart but was presented with a retrospective award in 1989, said the decision to sell the medal had been a tough one and had disappointed his children.
"There comes a time in everybody's life - I'm looking for a little bit of extra financial security at the moment - and that's the reason the medal is on the market," he said on Channel Nine's The Footy Show.
Teasdale said ideally he would like to see a North/Kangaroos fan buy the medal and then donate it to the club.
