Crocs crunch Pigs in fifth straight win
The Townsville Crocodiles stretched their winning streak to five after disposing of an undermanned West Sydney Razorbacks outfit 119-96 in their NBL match at the Swamp.
John Rillie was outstanding against his former team, falling just short of a triple double with 28 points, 10 rebounds and nine assists, while Brad Newley backed up his MVP performance in the All-Star game with 24 points.
Minus Simon Dwight and Scott McGregor, the Razorbacks struggled for scoring punch with Nick Horvath (21 points) and Sam MacKinnon (19) their best contributors.
Rillie came out smoking in the first quarter hitting 15 points, but the Crocodiles couldn't pull away from the pesky Pigs with the teams tied 55-all at halftime.
But Townsville hit its straps after the break, going on a 13-0 run midway through the third term to build a match-winning lead.
