Fevola faces action over no-show
Carlton is set to drop forward Brendon Fevola for its upcoming AFL practice match and may also fine him after his no-show at Blues training on Monday.
Fevola, who was involved in an early-morning altercation with security staff at Melbourne's Crown Casino on Monday, did not show up for training later that day.
No action was taken by the club against Fevola for the casino incident, which occurred after he went to the aid of a family member and reportedly left him sporting a black eye.
But missing training is expected to cost him his spot in the Blues' practice match against Richmond on Friday, while the club is also likely to slap him with a fine.
Fevola, 23, is now expected to line up for the Northern Bullants against Springvale in a reserves practice match on Saturday.
Blues officials were unavailable for comment on the in-house action to be taken against Fevola, who has been involved in several off-field controversies in recent seasons.
The Blues full-forward had a breakthrough year on the field in 2003, kicking 63 goals and running third in the club's best and fairest voting.
