Emerton relishing Highbury trip
Australian midfielder Brett Emerton believes Blackburn can throw a spanner in the works of Arsenal's title challenge once more at Highbury on Sunday.
Blackburn, who arguably cost Arsenal the title last season by beating them at home and away, travel to London on a high after last weekend's 4-0 win over Birmingham.
"Performances over the last couple of weeks suggest the team is back where it should be," said Emerton, a summer signing from Feyenoord who has settled in quickly at Ewood Park.
"Everyone's confident after a good win so I hope we can get a result against Arsenal.
"Of course they are a fantastic team with exceptional players such as Thierry Henry, and they are a great team to watch, but playing against them will be a good indication of how far we have got to go.
"Looking around the dressing room we have good quality players and I knew it was only a matter of time before we started beating teams comfortably, as we did against Birmingham last week.
"I'm really looking forward to it, it is the first time I have played Arsenal and playing teams such as them is one of the main reasons I wanted to come to the Premiership."
Blackburn boss Graeme Souness meanwhile underlined his admiration for Henry by backing the French striker to win the FIFA World Player of the Year award over Ronaldo and Zinedine Zidane on Monday.
He said: "There would be an argument that Thierry Henry is the best player in the world at the moment and I wouldn't disagree.
"I'm a big admirer of Arsenal, I love the way they play football - them going forward is what football is all about and we will have to concentrate fully if we are going to get any result there."
