Schwarzer plays down Arsenal interest
Socceroos goalkeeper Mark Schwarzer has dismissed reports he could be on the move to English Premier League giants Arsenal as speculation.
Schwarzer has been linked in the English press with a cross-London switch after a stellar season between the sticks for Fulham.
Several English newspapers have suggested Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is keen to bring the 37-year-old to the club after apparently losing faith with first-choice `keeper Manuel Almunia late last season.
Schwarzer, who is training with his Socceroos teammates in Johannesburg ahead of the World Cup, admitted to being flattered by the rumours but said he had heard nothing of a move.
"As far as I'm concerned at this time, it's purely speculation," Schwarzer told the ABC.
"I haven't heard anything other than what's been said or written in the papers, so it's purely speculative at the moment.
"I don't see anything changing unless someone tells me otherwise.
"I've got another year left on my contract at Fulham and I've really enjoyed my time at Fulham and I'm enjoying it and I see my future at the moment with Fulham."
Schwarzer's performances were crucial in guiding Fulham to the Europa League final and a credible 12th in the Premier League last season.
