Hodges cleared by NRL match reviewers
Brisbane centre Justin Hodges has escaped punishment for his controversial tackle on St George Illawarra winger Brett Morris in Saturday night's NRL semi-final.
The match review committee decided on Monday that no charges should be laid from the two semi-finals matches, in which Hodges' hit on an injured Morris was the most contentious issue.
Morris had suffered an ankle syndesmosis injury after catching a kick during the Dragons' 13-12 golden point loss at Suncorp Stadium.
The Dragons winger fell to the ground in obvious pain before Hodges ran several metres to fall heavily on him, despite Dragons players signalling that Morris was injured.
