Brisbane have confirmed that ruckman Mitch Clark wants an AFL trade to Fremantle.

"Mitch informed the Club over the weekend of his desire to return to WA and we understand the reasons behind his request," said Lions football manager Dean Warren in a statement.

"While we are extremely disappointed to lose an athlete with Mitch's attributes, we will now work towards getting the greatest possible outcome for the Lions, should a trade be able to be achieved."

Brisbanehave also confirmed five delistings - Matt Austin and Xavier Clarke, as well as rookie listings Broc McCauley, Bart McCulloch and Donald Barry.
