Stuart Clark to join Warne at Hampshire
Australian paceman Stuart Clark will join compatriot Shane Warne at Hampshire, the English county club confirmed on Wednesday.
Clark, who took 26 wickets in Australia's 5-0 Ashes victory, will join the club after the World Cup ends in April.
"This is a once in a lifetime chance for me and with the added benefit to also play cricket with such a cricketing legend and personal friend as Shane Warne making my time at Hampshire very exciting," Clark said.
Warne, who has retired from international cricket, is Hampshire's captain.
Hampshire team manger Paul Terry said Clark's international performances over the past year made him a valuable addition to the club.
"He will give us an extra cutting edge and his experience will be invaluable for the younger bowlers in our squad," Terry said.
Clark, 31, has been given clearance to play in the World Cup as a replacement for fellow New South Welshman Brett Lee, who has an ankle injury.
He has already played county cricket, spending a season at Middlesex in 2005.
