Robinson returning to Australia
Former Parramatta and Sydney Roosters forward Chad Robinson will return to Australia after a knee injury ended his English Super League stint with Harlequins.
The London-based club announced on Tuesday Robinson had been "released from his contract by mutual consent as a result of a recurrent knee injury."
Quins head coach Brian McDermott said he could not fault the Australian's work ethic.
"In his short time with us, Chad bought into everything the club is trying to achieve," McDermott said.
"He is one of those players that put their hands up for work when the going gets tough.
"Chad and his family return to Australia with the very best wishes of the London rugby league community."
Robinson, 29, joined Harlequins from NRL side Parramatta and made his debut in February 2009 against Castleford.
But he suffered an injury hampered year, undergoing knee surgery twice during the season.
Robinson split his time at the Eels between 2000 and 2008 with three seasons at the Roosters from 2002-04.
