Hodkinson accepts two-game NRL ban
Canterbury's Trent Hodkinson will miss a showdown with his old teammates this weekend, after the former Manly halfback accepted a two-game NRL suspension for dangerous conduct.
Hodkinson took the early guilty plea for his grade two dangerous contact charge following an ugly incident involving Gold Coast's Steve Michaels, where he appeared to make contact with the Titans winger's head while he was prone on the turf.
Hodkinson, who left Manly after just one season of first grade action to sign a lucrative deal with the Bulldogs, will also miss the club's round 15 clash with Cronulla.
However, the Bulldogs will have the services of hooker Michael Ennis, after the NSW representative also took the early guilty plea for a grade one careless high tackle on Titans skipper Scott Prince.
Cronulla's Ben Pomeroy is also free to take on Brisbane this Friday after he accepted the early plea on his grade one dangerous throw on Melbourne's Dane Nielsen.
