Panthers' Lewis cleared of major injury
Penrith NRL utility Luke Lewis has been cleared of any serious damage to his shoulder and should be passed fit to face in-form Manly on Sunday at Centrebet Stadium.
The NSW star left the field in the second half of Saturday's epic golden-point win over Parramatta, but scans have revealed a grade two tear to the AC joint, with no surgery required.
Panthers' prop Nigel Plum is awaiting scans to learn the full extent of his burner injury to his shoulder, also suffered in the 23-22 victory over the Eels.
However, Panthers' medics are confident the giant frontrower will be fit to face the Sea Eagles.
Manly backrower Anthony Watmough is also awaiting the results of scans of his shoulder injury.
The Test and NSW forward played just 20 minutes of the 32-10 win over Newcastle.
However, he is expected to be given the all clear to return to training after coach Des Hasler revealed he would have brought Watmough back on had his side not been comfortably in charge of the Ausgrid Stadium clash.
