Campese left out of Raiders line-up
Star five-eighth Terry Campese has been left out of Canberra's line-up for Sunday's NRL clash with North Queensland.
Campese had been expected to make his long-awaited comeback from a knee reconstruction this week but Raiders coach David Furner said while the star playmaker's return will be soon, he isn't ready just yet.
"I know he's excited. We're getting close," Furner said.
"It's all under the guidance of our medical staff and physio and rehab officer. I can only gauge on that."
Furner said this will be Campese's first week of full training sessions.
In better news for the Raiders, international forward Tom Learoyd-Lahrs will make his return from injury on the bench.
Learoyd-Lahrs fractured his eye socket playing for Country on May 6.
Half Matt Orford has not been named because he has a virus.
Raiders: Josh Dugan, Blake Ferguson, Jarrod Croker, Joel Thompson, Reece Robinson, Josh McCrone, Sam Williams, Dane Tilse, Alan Tongue (capt), Brett White, Joe Picker, Bronson Harrison, Shaun Fensom. Interchange: Glen Buttriss, Josh Miller, Josh Papalii, Tom Learoyd-Lahrs.
