Campese to lead Raiders in final trial
Terry Campese will lead Canberra into their final NRL trial against the Bulldogs in Brisbane on Saturday night.
Campese steps into the captaincy role with regular skipper Alan Tongue to miss the Meakin Park clash with a thumb injury.
Tongue and prop Troy Thompson (Achilles) are the only regular first graders unavailable through injury, with new recruits David Shillington and Bronson Harrison both named in the starting side.
The two other new faces in the Raiders ranks, former Wests Tigers hooker Stuart Flanagan and returning halfback Josh McCrone, were both named to come off the bench.
