Monaghan wins Meninga Medal
Canberra centre Joel Monaghan has been awarded the inaugural Meninga Medal for the Raiders' best and fairest player throughout 2008.
Monaghan polled 14 votes to edge five-eighth Terry Campese by a single point.
Hooker turned halfback Glen Buttriss claimed the rookie of the year award, with prop Dane Tilse winning the coaches award and Campese the Fred Daly memorial clubman of the year trophy.
Raiders great Mal Meninga, after whom the medal is named, became the first player to receive life membership of the club.
