Injured Hunt out for 2-3 weeks
Brisbane fullback Karmichael Hunt was ruled out of action for up to three weeks after suffering a knee injury against Gold Coast on Friday night.
Hunt hobbled from the field midway through the first half of the Broncos' 26-24 loss to the Titans in the NRL clash at Skilled Park.
Specialist Dr Peter Meyers said Hunt would miss two to three weeks because of soft tissue damage to his left knee but he would not need surgery.
Hunt's misfortune increases the chances of Melbourne fullback Billy Slater wearing the Australian No.1 jersey for the Centenary Test against New Zealand on May 9 in Sydney.
In a massive boost for the Broncos, captain Darren Lockyer is set to return for Friday's Anzac Day clash against South Sydney at Suncorp Stadium.
Lockyer has been sidelined for the past two weeks due to soreness in the knee he had a reconstruction on last year.
