AFLPA to donate $150,000
AFL players will donate a portion of their match fees to the Queensland flood relief effort.
AFL Player's Association (AFLPA) president Luke Power confirmed the body had resolved to give $150,000 to those affected by the floods.
"I've seen the devastation up here first hand and, like every other Australian, I know we all need to chip in and help in any way we can," the Brisbane Lions midfielder said.
AFLPA chief executive Matt Finnis said the decision to give $150,000 was in line with other significant AFLPA donations to the Asian Tsunami and Black Saturday relief appeal.
