Flood called up to England bench
Toby Flood has been called up to the England bench for Saturday's Rugby World Cup quarter-final against Australia after Olly Barkley failed to recover from a dead leg, team officials said.
Flood joined the squad three weeks ago to replace injured centre Jamie Noon but this will be his first involvement in a match 22 here.
Barkley, who played inside centre in England's two wins over Samoa and Tonga, was originally replaced in the starting team by Andy Farrell but when he was ruled out through injury, coach Brian Ashton called up Mike Catt to start in the number 12 shirt.
