Brisbane have secured pick No.5 in the AFL draft through the deal that sends Jared Brennan to Gold Coast.

The complex deal involves the Lions giving the Suns the compensation pick they received for losing Brennan.

Brisbane will also gain Rohan Bewick, the nephew of Essendon premiership player Darren Bewick.

Apart from the compensation pick, the Suns also receive the 10th draft pick.

In other trades completed so far on Friday, Hawthorn trumped Melbourne to gain North Melbourne ruckman David Hale, Geelong utility Nathan Djerrkura will go to the Western Bulldogs and West Coast forward Ben McKinley will join the Kangaroos.
