Hawks secure Hale in AFL trade
Hawthorn have secured David Hale in the latest AFL trade, beating Melbourne for the services of the North Melbourne ruckman.
The Hawks will give up the compensation draft pick they received for losing Campbell Brown to Gold Coast.
They will also give North pick 71 and receive the No.52 selection in the deal.
Hale played 129 games and kicked 119 goals with the Kangaroos after joining them through the 2001 national draft.
He will be a badly needed boost to Hawthorn's ruck stocks.
