Wigan pile on more misery for Leeds
Defending champions Leeds slumped to their fifth defeat of the Super League season on Friday as table-toppers Wigan cruised to a 24-4 win at DW Stadium.
Darrell Goulding scored twice while George Carmont and Joel Tomkins also got on the scoresheet after a scoreless opening 34 minutes of the match.
Leeds scored through Ryan Hall early in the second half but it never looked like sparking the injury-hit Rhinos into life.
Chris Riley scored a hat-trick as second-place Warrington enjoyed a 32-16 victory over Wakefield Trinity.
Warrington were the superior side in the first half with Riley twice going over in the left corner and further tries for Chris Bridge and Ryan Atkins.
Tries from Michael Korkidas and Aaron Murphy gave Wakefield hope of a second half comeback.
Bradford secured a 19-12 victory bottom club Harlequins.
The visitors led through Chris Melling's 13th-minute try but the Bulls responded immediately through Michael Platt and former Cronulla fullback Brett Kearney edged them in front.
Steve Menzies added a third try in the 52nd minute to give the Bulls breathing space but a fine breakaway try from Danny Orr which Luke Gale converted set up a tense finish to a low-quality encounter.
In Friday night's other game, Castleford saw off Crusaders 22-16.
