Jack Riewoldt can escape AFL suspension
Richmond forward Jack Riewoldt can escape with a reprimand if he pleads guilty to striking West Coast midfielder Daniel Kerr.
The AFL match review panel laid the report against Riewoldt after an incident during the opening quarter of Saturday's match at Etihad Stadium, which the Tigers won by 15 points.
The level two striking offence was assessed as being intentional, of low impact with contact to the body, drawing 125 demerit points.
But with a 25 per cent discount for an early guilty plea, Riewoldt's penalty would drop to a reprimand and 93.75 points to his future record.
The match-day report against North Melbourne's Jack Ziebell for engaging in rough conduct against Adelaide's Brent Reilly was dropped.
The match review panel ruled that Ziebell had his eyes on the ball at all times and any contact was accidental.
Ziebell, 18, broke his leg later in the match and may not play again this season.
