Ebert re-signs with Eagles
Young West Coast midfielder Brad Ebert has re-signed with the AFL club.
Ebert, taken with pick No.13 in the 2007 national draft, has played 20 games for the Eagles including 15 in his debut season last year.
West Coast would not reveal the length of the new deal.
"It is an exciting time at the club and with such a young list, we are all looking forward to achieving big things together," Ebert said.
West Coast coach John Worsfold said he had been happy with the 19-year-old's progress.
"Brad is a highly regarded player within our senior squad and is one of a number of exciting youngsters on our list," Worsfold said of the South Australian.
"He has already given us an insight into his ability, both as a player and a leader, and we are looking forward to seeing him evolve even further."
The Eagles hope Ebert will play a vital role as the club pushes for its fourth premiership in coming years.
"We believe he is a player of immense talent, which we have already seen, and he will play an important role in our plans to sustain the success which has been so evident in our club's relatively short history," football operations manager Neale Daniher said.
The Eagles have won just three games this season and take on the unbeaten Geelong at Subiaco Oval on Sunday.
