Hadden out as Scotland coach
Frank Hadden has stepped down as Scotland's rugby coach after another poor performance at the Six Nations.
The Scots finished next to last in the standings with only one victory, at home to last-place Italy. They lost to Grand Slam champion Ireland, England, France and Wales with his team unable to create many try scoring chances and relying heavily on the boot of Chris Paterson.
Scottish Rugby Board chief executive Gordon McKie said on Thursday: "Following a presentation at today's Scottish Rugby Board, covering a review of the Scotland team performance in the RBS Six Nations Championship, it was agreed with Frank Hadden that a change in head coach is required to allow us to plan fully for the 2011 Rugby World Cup in New Zealand."
