Former All Black 'cleared of assault'
French police have cleared former All Black Jerry Collins of assaulting a woman in France where he was playing rugby for Toulon, his manager says.
French media said the woman claimed that Collins pushed her into a ditch after she followed him home one night.
"I am morally and physically shattered. I had to spend six weeks on my back. I have a fractured sacrum, bruises, a twisted spine and a fractured wrist," one newspaper reported the woman as saying.
But Collins' manager Tim Castle said that the woman's allegations "had been independently investigated and found to be without substance".
"Who knows what kind of game she's playing?" he told New Zealand's TV One News.
