Phil Gould flicked from Footy Show forum
Rugby league commentator Phil Gould has been pulled from appearing on Thursday night's The Footy Show following a heated radio exchange with NRL chief executive David Gallop on Monday night.
Gould and Gallop went head-to-head on Sydney radio station Triple M, the influential pair arguing about the state of the NRL in light of Sonny Bill Williams' decision to walk out on the Bulldogs.
The exchange became heated on several occasions as Gould harassed Gallop over his role in the Super League war in the mid 1990s.
"In light of Phil Gould's interview with David Gallop on Triple M last night, Gould will not be appearing on the The Footy Show this week," a Nine Network spokeswoman told AAP.
Gould was scheduled to host a new segment on The Footy Show starting this week - a hard-hitting forum looking into major issues in the game.
Gallop was also due to appear on the segment.
