Glass may be scratched from Eagles team
West Coast captain Darren Glass has a thigh strain and is facing a race against time to prove his fitness for Saturday's AFL clash against St Kilda.
Glass picked up the injury early in last weekend's loss to Brisbane but soldiered on despite the pain to finish the match.
West Coast coach John Worsfold said scans conducted on Monday revealed a "a very slight strain" but said the defender was still a chance to line up against the Saints.
"He got through the game which is generally the biggest indication that he might be able to get through (this weekend) but we really won't know that until the last minute," Worsfold said.
"We'll have a look how he feels (at training) tonight and we'll either make the call early in that he won't be right or we'll give him that extra time, but that will be decided tomorrow.
"If there's a high risk of him tearing it then we won't play him. Even though if he feels as though he might be able to get through we've got to read the risk and we'll do that."
