Australia takes 168-run lead
Australia has secured a commanding first innings lead over the West Indies late on the third day of the second Test in Trinidad.
The Windies were bowled out for 408, handing Australia a 168-run lead before the tourists began their second innings with at least 13 overs remaining before stumps.
Stuart MacGill (2-98) claimed his 100th Test wicket while new-ball bowlers Jason Gillespie (3-50) and Brett Lee (4-69) helped clean up the Windies innings after solid resistance.
Daren Ganga (117) posted his second consecutive century against Australia while Marlon Samuels, after a dreadful first Test, made a polished 68.
He was fortunate on 47 when caught at slip from an Andrew Bichel no-ball but the Australians limited the damage when Samuels was caught off MacGill's bowling.
Gillespie trapped Mervyn Dillon LBW without scoring before No.9 Vasbert Drakes (24) added some valuable runs with two sixes off Brad Hogg (1-98).
