Argentine charges cast pall over Cup
Argentine props Roberto Grau and Mauricio Reggiardo will face serious misconduct charges at a Rugby World Cup judiciary in Sydney on Wednesday afternoon.
They were cited for allegedly eye-gouging Irish front row pair Keith Wood and Reggie Corrigan during their Pool A clash in Adelaide on Sunday.
Players found guilty of eye-gouging risk a two-year ban.
There could be another citing, with a Uruguay player stomping on the head of a Georgian opponent during Tuesday night's Pool C match in Sydney.
Referee Kelvin Deaker awarded a penalty for the second half incident but couldn't see the perpetrator and initial television replays were unclear.
Also, an appeal against Scotland flanker Martin Leslie's 12-week ban for kneeing an opponent in the head will be heard on Wednesday.
And it's expected a statement will be made on what punishment, if any, England will get for fielding an extra player during the Pool C game against Samoa on Sunday in Melbourne.
