Fresh-faced Wallabies feel like stars
If the Wallabies needed fresh faces they got it with 18-year-old Leroy Houston among five new inclusions for the November tour to Europe.
Houston's raw enthusiasm and made-for-endorsement smile lit up the ARU's headquarters.
"Oh man, over the moon," he beamed, when asked about his call-up.
"Just being a part of the squad mate, oh awesome, awesome mate, awesome."
Houston is the youngest member of the squad and one of three inclusions yet to play a Super 12 match.
The 115kg flanker or number eight joins outside backs Digby Ioane and Cameron Shepherd, hooker Tatafu Polota-Nau and lock Adam Wallace-Harrison in a 31-man squad, which had been deprived of the services of 14 players through injury or suspension.
Three other uncapped members of the squad, Scott Fava, David Fitter and Greg Holmes, have been part of the Wallabies' training set-up this season.
An Australian U19 and U21 representative born in New Zealand, Houston hasn't been to Europe and isn't quite sure what to expect.
"I can't say, eh?" he said. "Just a lot of rock star stuff.
"We'll see what happens - I'm gonna go hard though."
