Reds coach Ewen McKenzie has named five new faces in his Queensland squad to take on the ACT Brumbies in Friday night's rugby trial in Darwin.

Backing up from their convincing 42-15 opening trial victory over the Crusaders in Cairns last weekend, the Reds will welcome the first run for Ben Lucas, Ed Quirk, Jake Schatz, Rob Simmons and Dom Shipperley for 2011 in the Northern Territory.

All five are coming back from injury.

The starting side will be announced on Thursday.
