AFL club Adelaide has fined Graham Johncock $1,500 and demanded an apology after the defender was charged by police following a car crash.

Johncock will face three charges after allegedly crashing into two parked vehicles in a beachside suburb early on Monday.

The 23-year-old faces charges of driving without due care, making a false report to police and failing to truly answer questions after crash.

Police allege Johncock was driving a car which crashed into two parked vehicles at west suburban Henley Beach at 12.45am (CST) on Monday.

When police went to Johncock's home at 1.30am CST, he reportedly became verbally aggressive.

The police spokesman said the charges of false report and failing to truly answer related to Johncock's behaviour when police arrived at his home.

Johncock, who will appear in the Port Adelaide Magistrates Court at a later date, was on Tuesday fined $1500 by the Crows.

The club also demanded Johncock attend its program in schools for the next two months and that he write an apology to Adelaide members, supporters and sponsors for bringing the club into disrepute.

Adelaide chief executive officer Steven Trigg said the club was extremely disappointed in Johncock.

"He is very lucky he did not injure anyone, including himself," Trigg said in a statement.
